Breezy Multi-tasking
Realme 2 is the only notch screen mobile in its price range. One of the great things about this phone is the use of the notch space that makes multi-tasking a smooth and quick process. Watching a video? Click on the icons sitting snugly in the notch to perform another action like taking a screenshot, recording a video or replying to a message on WhatsApp.
Look & Feel
The sleek 6.2 inch notch screen featuring Gorilla Glass and 720×1520 pixel resolution enhances user experience. The mobile exterior features a unique ‘diamond’ design (improved on receiving positive customer feedback). Again, there’s no compromise on style or function. The back of Realme 2 is made of a 12-layer nano-tech composite. The diamond back with an improved reflecting effect catches your eye every time. In the words of Levi Lee, Chief Product Officer, Realme “The Realme 2 is designed for the youth.”
Performance
The Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa Core CPU with an integrated GPU speeds up graphic rendering by 25% and lowers power consumption by 30%.
The AI power master can effectively allocate the processor resources for energy saving. However, your experience will not be compromised. The long-lasting 4230 mAh battery combined with the AI power master takes care of demanding gaming, ‘Netflix and chill’ and long video chats.
Oppo claims the battery can last up to 44 hours of continuous calling, 18 hours of music playback, 15 hours of video playback, 10 hours of gaming, 11 hours of navigation and 18 hours of web browsing. The long-lasting battery life is something that makes the phone much more of a value-for-money purchase.
Camera
RealMe 2 has an 8MP f/2.2 front camera and a dual camera in the back with superior specifications – 13MP f/2.2 + 2MP f/2.4. The front camera features excellent ‘portrait’ mode feature that will take your selfie game to the next level. The ‘portrait’ mode automatically blurs the background and make the image of the person sharper. A pretty cool feature, if you ask us. Move over, pros.
Security
Other than fingerprint scanner and face unlock, you also have the option of ‘Smart Unlock’. This new feature can unlock your phone when you are in a specific location, connected to a specific network or connected to a wearable device via Bluetooth. You can customise these settings based on what works best for you. The fingerprint scanner is located at the back of the phone making it easy to unlock at a grip of the phone.
Price
Two fantastically built Realme 2 models are available. One is the 3GB+32GB model priced at INR 8,990 and the second is the 4GB+64GB model that is priced at INR 10,990. Both models will be available for purchase in September. However, the Diamond Red & Diamond Black colours will be available on 4 September 2018 at 12 noon and the Diamond Blue will be available in early October 2018.
